Pepper Patrol · iPhone
A mouth crop, with your permission.
Privacy policy · Effective October 16, 2026 · Cloudflare-enabled builds
What leaves your device
Pepper Patrol finds and crops your mouth on your iPhone. After you explicitly agree, that crop is sent over HTTPS to Visionz’s scan service, hosted on Render, and to the Qwen model hosted by Cloudflare Workers AI to look for visible food. The full selfie is not uploaded. Internet access is required; a failed request does not produce a clean result.
Service handling and retention
Visionz’s scan service processes crops in memory and does not save photos or log request contents. Cloudflare says it does not use inputs or outputs to train models or improve Cloudflare or third-party services without explicit consent; Visionz does not give that consent for app scans. We use direct inference without Cloudflare storage services or an AI Gateway. This is not a promise of zero retention. See Cloudflare’s Workers AI data-use policy and privacy policy.
The app does not create an account, send a user identifier with scans, or include advertising or analytics SDKs. Like other internet services, Render and Cloudflare receive connection information, including IP addresses. Provider processing may occur outside your country, including in the United States.
Camera and storage
Camera access is used to capture your scan. The app prepares an upright mouth crop without source photo metadata. Images and results are held in app memory, not saved to your photo library or an app history. A new scan replaces the previous result. You can revoke camera access in iPhone Settings.
Your upload choice
Camera permission alone does not authorize uploads. The first scan asks you to agree to sending mouth crops to Visionz and Cloudflare. Permission previously given for TypeSafe does not carry over: the app asks again, and the current scan service rejects the old consent version. Choosing “Not now” sends nothing and leaves scanning off. The app remembers your choice locally. Revoke mouth-upload permission from the app’s Privacy screen to stop future uploads until you agree again. Revoking permission does not delete data a provider may already hold.
Sharing is your choice
The Share button creates a result card without your mouth photo. Only when you choose a destination in the iOS share sheet does that card go to another app or person. That destination’s privacy practices apply.
Questions and support
Contact support@visionz.ai for privacy questions or support. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond. Do not send mouth photos. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence. Your email provider has its own privacy practices.
This website is separate from the app
Opening this website sends ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser information, to our hosting provider, Render. See Render’s privacy policy. This website does not use analytics and does not receive scan images or results; the separate scan service described above does.
About this policy
This policy describes Cloudflare-enabled iPhone builds from Visionz. Earlier Jev builds used TypeSafe under its customer agreement; those builds cannot scan against the current service. Earlier on-device builds do not upload scans. Private development builds may offer a separately marked, opt-in photo export for evaluation; that collector is not included in the public app. Updates to this policy will be dated on this page and in the app.
